Through 18 years, GQ has been published in Mexico, becoming an important reference as a lifestyle magazine for the audience in the country. Here's a selection of editorial layouts from GQ Magazine, combining typographic compositions and engaging artworks. This selection spans nearly six years, during which I learned a lot from an institution like Condé Nast.
The Toronto Humane Society is a non-profit organization that operates animal shelters and rescue operations based in Toronto. I developed a PSA campaign with the purpose of promoting the adoption of animals at THS. The creation of this campaign includes developing the concept, creating the artwork and copy, and its proper adaptation as a social media campaign.
On average, Canadians spend around ten hours per week streaming content. Imagine how awesome it would be if there was a matchmaking app based on your streaming preferences. That's what Streamngle is. For this project, I created the concept and branding, designed an ad for OOH advertising, and developed an app prototype using Figma.
Los Rolling Gatos is the brainchild and musical alter ego of Miguel Elias Reátegui, a Toronto-based musician. Miguel enjoys exploring the eclectic world of sounds, from free jazz improvisation to soaring guitar leads and soothing acoustic guitar songs. For this project, I designed the concept for Los Rolling Gatos' first album, Eclectico. This included the branding, album art, merchandise, a printed press kit, and a promotional micro-site.
The Bear is an award-winning comedy-drama series created by Christopher Storer for FX on Hulu. The story follows Carmy Berzatto, a talented chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to manage the chaotic kitchen at his deceased brother's restaurant. As a big fan of the series, I wondered if the restaurant exists. I designed the menu and the branding identity, including some illustrations.
Serenitea is a fictional tea brand based in Toronto. For this project, I created the brand, die-line, and packaging, including the design of an ad to be displayed as OOH advertising. I also took it a step further by designing a piece of the brand's clothing.

Have you seen "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Well, if you have, you can imagine the inspiration for this project. For this one, I created a technical illustration of an air fryer for the fictional brand SkyFry. This project involved developing an advertisement for a magazine and taking it a step further with out-of-home advertising. It was an intriguing challenge that I tackled using advanced tools within Adobe Illustrator.
"We all float down here": Redesign of Stephen King's masterpiece, "IT." For this project, I aimed to create an out-of-home advertisement that captures the essence of King's chilling work, and also included a promotional clothing item.
Energize Fitness is a fictional health and wellness consulting network based in Toronto. For this project, I did the editorial design of a fitness manual. This included creating the wordmark and using infographics to create an engaging print and interactive document, including an animated version published online.
DogVader is my social media alter ego. I focus on telling stories about dogs to promote dog adoption and raise awareness against animal abuse through illustrated real stories. As a graphic designer, I enjoy the challenge of researching the stories, writing, and illustrating them to create meaningful posts. Adopt, don't shop!
La Gaceta, a high-end Mexican department store magazine, has been published since 2009, becoming an important part of the consumer experience for one of the most significant brands in Mexico. This selection of engaging editorial layouts spans over two years, during which I applied much of what I learned from Condé Nast and GQ Magazine.
